Mountain Bike Monday - Biking the Battlefield in the Chariot
Yesterday, since it was a little overcast and the temperatures were lower, we decided to take Charlie Boy with us to the Battlefield to bike! He was super lazy from his busy day on Saturday at the Market, so he was fine with whatever! As you can see from this picture he wasn't too excited about doing much of anything except sunning himself!
We got loaded up and headed over to the Battlefield for a road ride!
The temperatures were nice and we got a nice breeze! So did the little man!
He got to sit back and enjoy the scenery at the park while Dynamo worked out!
Pulling Charlie adds an additional 35 pounds, so it's definitely a good training tool! Especially to pull him on the hills at the Battlefield!
When we finished up, Charlie found himself a spot under the trees in the shade while we packed up!
On our way out, we stopped at the creek so Charlie could play in the water a little!
At first he wasn't too sure, but he quickly figured out this was like his pool, and walked right in!
He loves to chase the ripples!
He was fascinated with the water!
It was a nice ride on a lovely day! We hope your weekend was nice!

Charlie...the lizard hunter ear eater!
It's been a while since Mom let me do a post here! She said her work friends have requested a Charlie update! So, here I am!
I'm a busy little guy! I am always running and playing and swimming! In the above picture you will notice all of my toys in the background. But, the one Mom put on my back was recently my chew of choice. It was an Easter Bunny Rubber Duck. I ate one ear off! Good thing Mom caught it before I swallowed it! Needlesstosay she took that duck away from me. Oh well! On to the next victim!
Every night I hunt lizards in between my frisbee catching and pool time! The little lizards like to hide under Mom's pots! So, I run in circles chasing them.
I know they're there. Mom and Dad lift the pots for me over and over until we finally find the lizard!
I finally almost got one Wednesday. His tail fell off because he was so scared! Mom said it was a technique of distraction.
I'm getting faster and so are they!
Eventually I take a break and then head back to the pool to cool off!
My mom says that the pool was the best $8 she ever spent! I have a pool at home and at Grandpa's!
I jump in, lay down, and cool off...
Some call this chillaxin'! I also use this time to rinse off my frisbee!
Did I mention that I carry my frisbee everywhere? You never know when an opportunity might arise to play fetch!
I would say that life is pretty good! I play all day with Grandpa and then I come home and play until dark with Mom and Dad! I'm a star!

Bring your donation Items Saturday!!!
You all know how much we love our Charlie!! Well, we love all animals and my friend, Kelly, and I are co-coordinating a collection location at the Petersburg Market!
So, this Saturday and next we're taking up a collection of items for the Petersburg Animal Shelter! The following items are needed:
Flea medications (Frontline, Advantage or Advantix), new or gently used toys, leashes, collars, dog food, cat food, puppy food, kitten food, cat litter, towels, blankets, newspaper and cleaning supplies (especially bleach).
Look by the stair case that comes down from the bridge above for the place to drop off donations!
This collection will go for the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August.
Do you think you can help us out? Bring your items to us and we'll be sure it gets donated for you! Check out the Petersburg Farmers Market Facebook Page for more information!
Now, here are some scenes from last week at the market!
The market sure was bustling last week! Lots of shoppers ready to spend the morning supporting the local vendors!
Lots of smiles!
And old friends...
The market is a time to catch up with friends and neighbors! It's a nice opportunity to just stop and chat!
In a world where life is so busy all the time, it's nice to have a chance to stop and talk with your farmer that grows your food or your flowers.
The vendors love talking about their products! It's their passion remember?
We even promote each other's products! Did I mention that Bert has great pizza dough and chocolate chip cookies?
This is the highlight of Charlie's week!
You all make him sooooo happy! You bring him treats like frozen peanut butter yogurt!
And, give him lots of love!
You all have helped to make him the gentle loving dog he is today! Thank you for that!
We hope to see you Saturday! We will have soap and only a few bouquets! Come early!
See you soon!

Be my clementine!
Here it is! My new favorite in the collection of soaps!
It's called Clementine Cupcake! The fragrance is to die for! I have never smelled anything so delicious! I mean it! It's just that awesome!
Close your eyes and imagine an orange cake with vanilla buttercream icing! It smells so good you want to eat it!
I don't usually like vanilla scents, which is why I don't have any in my collection. But...this vanilla is so subtle that you won't be overpowered by it! Just right!
I can't wait until this is ready! I'd like to thank everyone who commented on my Facebook page with fragrance suggestions. This is one of many I'll be unveiling in the coming weeks after collecting all of your input!
