We usually only have one beer soap on hand at a time, and for the Christmas season it was most appropriate to choose the ever-so-popular Hardywood Park Craft Brewery's Gingerbread Stout.
Dynamo actually came up with the idea for this batch, which incorporates these adorable gingerbread men into each bar! He's quite clever don't you think?
When Dynamo went to pick up the beer, the guy in the store said that making soap with this awesome beer wasn't so strange after all. Apparently people have been making cakes with it too!! I know to many of you die hard beer drinkers it's quite the sin to use perfectly wonderfully delicious beer for soap, but I promise you, it's awesome!
We used all beer instead of water in our traditional recipe that you all know and love; added some coffee grounds for exfoliation, and worked our magic to make it smell like hazelnuts and toffee. It really is yummy! Good enough to eat!
Did I mention this soap is non-alcoholic too?!?!?
Also...many people pick up our beer soaps and expect them to smell like beer. Guess what? They don't. Each one has a very unique smell and we try to make them appeal to everyone.
You can find our G-Men Beer soap at The Bucket Trade in Chester!

Everyone loves handmade!
Talk about an awesome show last Saturday!! It was a GREAT day at the Richmond Craft Mafia's Handmade Holiday event at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery!
We were so excited to be a part of this annual show. People came from near and far to shop, socialize, and taste some awesome brews! And, we are so grateful to each of you who came out and supported us! We wouldn't be here without you, our loyal customers!
One of our cutest little customers below is just full of too much cuteness...
And, check out the cute bag I got from Anykind, our neighbor for the day!
Oh, and the super awesome cards from our new-to-town friends at Manka!
I just had to have these handmade lace-pressed ornaments for our natural tree from our friends at Life Ware!
Lots of great locally made goods! It was a great day!! This crowd agrees!

A tree hunting we will go!
Saturday was a special day! It was Dynamo's birthday and tree hunting day! So, we loaded up the car and headed to Fox Hill Tree Farm in Roseland, Virginia, to get our Christmas Tree!
We arrived and quickly got to searching!
We have been looking for a concolor fir since last year and we knew there was one here waiting for us! We just knew it!
The scenery was beautiful! There were four small fields to choose trees from!
There was even snow on top of the mountain in the distance...
We walked around all four fields to find just the right tree...
It was a little chilly, but that made it feel more like Christmas!
Charlie was just excited to be in a new place!
He rolled and rolled...
The cars looked like they were straight out of the movies with their trees strapped on top!
And, after looking at all of our options, we made our decision...
And Dynamo started work...
Charlie was his helper...
Ta da!
We loaded her up inside and off we went! Next stop was the Greenwood Grocery in Crozet for sandwiches!
Delicious fresh sandwiches and lots of local craft beers and other goodies!
It was a lovely day together celebrating Dynamo's birthday! I'm so grateful that we can share these special memories together. We are so blessed!
The tree is up and in the process of being decorated!

King of the Stump
We love to get outside each weekend, whether it be a hike or a bike ride. So, Sunday we headed over to the Petersburg National Battlefield for a short hike.
We tried to beat the rain. We did for the most part.
It really was a nice hike. I so enjoy getting fresh air. It has a way of refreshing you! And, there's nothing better than spending time with Dynamo and Charlie.
The park was quiet other than a few hikers and horses. We hiked about 4.5 miles before the rain became steady.
Of course I had to get the little man to pose for some pics. Do you ever wonder what they're thinking?
I took Dynamo over to this old building that I think is so neat!
Charlie and I discovered it one day while we were on a hike.
It just looks cool!
Then, we played peek-a-boo with Charlie! Silly boy!
And, just before we finished we put him on top of this cool stump for a picture!
He still wouldn't look at me!

Christmas Wreath Soap
I'm not very innovative with my soap naming so this soap is Christmas Wreath. I think that is ok, though, because the names are pretty self-explanatory, which makes for easy shopping, especially online.
This soap smells just like a fresh wreath you would hang on your door for the holiday! Yes, those lovely greens that brighten up the whole house and bring in crispness and freshness.
I know that I love those holiday greenery scented candles, so I thought a soap would be just as delightful.
And, it will make your bathroom smells so nice and seasonal!
Don't fear the glitter! It's really just on the tops of the bars! But, hey, doesn't everyone need a little sparkle once in a while!?!?
Get ready for more holiday soap scents! It's that time of year!!
