Mountain Bike Monday - Lovely Ladies Ride
My friend, Elise, put together some ladies for an all ladies beginner ride and we met at Poco yesterday for a spin!
Here we are minus 1 lady!

Mariooooochhheee and Dynamo joined us!

We met up and started out riding the fireroad. We cut in on the blue trail!

After a quick whirl through there, everyone was doing so well we decided to tackle the green trail!

Everyone was having a great time! There were smiles!

My friend, Missy, was there to help with instruction.

All was fine and good until I almost rode over a black snake!

It was cold enough that I thought we wouldn't have to worry, but I was wrong!

He was so stunned as was I that neither of us knew what to do! His head was right next to my foot as I slowly rode by. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him!
So, the only thing to do after taking pics was to encourage him away from the trail. I tried to do this with a stick.

He was only interested in going his way. Not mine!

Elise did a good job of snapping pics huh? At least he was easily visible in the brown leaves and rather slow because of the cold weather!
We continued on and finished up our ride with smiling faces!

We really had a wonderful time and enjoyed the company. I hope all the ladies will come back again.

If there's anyone that wants to join in, come on! The more the merrier! I make no promises, but we will have a great time and get some exercise!

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and great attitudes! It was great fun!

Mutt Strutt 2012
Here we are! The whole Boston Terrier Group! We participated in Fetch-a-Cure's Mutt Strut on Sunday at Deep Run Park!

Before we walked we checked out the vendors set up there! Check out this therapy dog!

Charlie got to say hello to all the doggies!

He loved on them all!

All he wanted to do was play!

Dogs of all sizes!

And, off we went!

He was ready to do the loop...just couldn't wait to catch up to the others! Here's Charlie and his new friend, Sparkle!

And, Charlie and Luna(tic)...

He just kept trying to play, but she was playing hard to get!

At the end of the walk we kept walking more with Luna and her Dad, Richard. When it was time to go, Charlie wasn't interested. He just rolled over in the parking lot!

The day was gorgeous for this great event. Check out Fetch here!

Mountain Bike Monday - The Poco Red

On Saturday afternoon Dynamo and I hit the trails at Poco. We were on a mission to lay out a route for an upcoming ladies ride next Sunday, November 18!

If anyone is interested in joining us, you're welcome to do so. Send me a message and I'll get you the details! It is a beginner ladies ride!

After we mapped out our route, we ventured over to the red trail at Poco. I've only ridden that trail one other time, so we decided to check it out again!

I'm glad we did! There were a few good climbs, some rocks, and a skinny log!

Dynamo was checking it out!

Maybe one day I'll be balanced enough to ride them! For now, they are way too intimidating to me!

There were lots of logs and whoop-de-dos on the trail! It was fun watching Dynamo go up and down the whoop-de-dos! I did a couple, but some were WAY TOO BIG!!!

We took it easy and enjoyed the time together! See, I'm smiling!

The weather was gorgeous!

There were lots of people out at the park.

I wasn't able to accomplish all of the obstacles, but I was pretty proud of myself for conquering the climbs, some rocks, and some logs! I've been riding a little over 3 years and thanks to Dynamo have improved significantly!

Come and see me this Saturday!!

As you're planning your weekend, think about stopping by to visit some of the vendors at the Petersburg Farmers Market!

I'll be there with my soaps from 9 a.m. until noon! It should be a little warmer than the past few days!

And, guess what? Now, we can accept credit cards! Finally, we have the technology! Yippee! There is a little catch, though! A little 3 percent fee will be added if you choose to use a card!

Have a little Chai!

Just finished up another favorite! My Chai Chai!!

So creamy and yummy!

Popular among lots of ladies, but men too! It's a good unisex fragrance!

If you haven't tried it, you really should!

Don't forget that now is the time to think about your holiday gift giving needs! If you have a special order or want gift baskets, place your order now in order to have it by Christmas! Email me if you have questions!

Soap makes a great stocking stuffer!!
