Mountain Bike Monday - On the Trails Again
We met up with Mountain Bike Mike to ride at Pocahontas yesterday! Our niece came to give us a hug before we took off!
It was a glorious day for a ride! The weather was perfect! The trails were perfect! We had missed our Trio!!
We hit the Lakeview Trails!!
Here's MBM coasting down what's called "Little Moab"! My favorite part of the trail!
And, here comes Dynamo...
Here's the long skinny...
And, Dynamo working his way...
We were all feeling great so we continued onward to LVIII...
Here are the guys heading down from the rocky hill...
And, the over the shoulder pic of MBM...
Then, we hit the creek crossing! First, MBM...
And, then me...
We had the best time riding and chatting. It had been such a long time since we rode together! We hope to be riding more often together! Hope your Sunday was as lovely as ours!

Coconut and Citrus...oh my!!
Sure, I've made this before, but there's something about this scent that it just so perfect!
It's light and not overpowering. Just the right amount of coconut with a hint of citrus.
Even if you're not a coconut fan, you'll really like this fragrance!
Plus, I really like how the color combo turned out! Don't you?
It should be ready by the time we come back to the market so be on the lookout for this great bar! Yum!
Have a great weekend!

Hillary's "Gain" Soap
From what I understand Hillary has a just a tiny obsession with Gain detergent! She adores that fragrance! So, when she messaged me I told her I needed to do a little research and I'd get back to her!
After a little research, I was sure I could make it happen! She was thrilled! We talked about the look she wanted and her purpose for the bars!
She wanted some mini bars for her clients and some large bars as well! She wanted a seafoam green color with soap curls and sticks. She chose poppy seeds for the exfoliant! The bars turned out perfect if I do say so myself!
My entire house smelled like Gain after this batch! It really is a nice fragrance!
The color is perfect. One that I'm sure I will recreate for another bar later down the road!
It just looks fresh and clean doesn't it?
What a great experience to work with Hillary! She's a photographer in West Virginia and you can visit her facebook page here and her website here!
It was lovely to work with you, Hillary! I know you'll love your Gain soap!
Here's a little excerpt about Hillary from her website:
"Hey there! My name is Hillary and I LOVE photography. I have an amazing husband, Jody, and two babies, Chloe and Cameron, that are the lights of my life. My goal is to capture you. Crazy, funky, chic, whatever makes you, you. I love photos that make me feel something. My inspiration comes from the miracle of a new life, the beginning of a couple's journey, the bond of a family. These are the moments to remember and the ones I want to capture for your family. A photo should capture a moment and a memory. So, take a seat and look around. I hope to see you soon."

Mountain Bike Tuesday - Heart of VA Bike Ride
Last Thursday we headed to the Battlefield for a short spin off-road!
Dynamo had just gotten a new bike, but hadn't had the chance to ride it because he unfortunately hurt his back.
But...he doesn't let that sort of thing hold him back for long!
After some chiropractic service and acupuncture, he decided to give it a go!
It was a short ride, but enough to get the feeling that the bike was going to be just right!
And...on Saturday we participated in the Heart of Virginia Bike Festival 31 mile ride!
What a beautiful day for a ride! It truly was the best possible riding weather we could have asked for! At the start they had the fife and drum from Yorktown!
The roads were relatively calm and not well traveled, which was great for us bikers!
And, the scenery was lovely! Some beautiful farmland in Hanover and Caroline Counties!
As if I'd never seen them picking corn before I had to snap a few pics anyways! I never tire of seeing the farming process. It is truly amazing!
Of course I waved to the farmer!! And, he waved back!
We met two nice guys on the ride and rode the final half of the ride together after this nice rest stop!
These rides are always so much fun because you always meet so many nice people and see parts of the state you normally don't drive through!
Such a peaceful day!
A good ride on a great day! Saturday made me think of the song, "This is the day that the Lord hath made!"
We will rejoice and be glad in it...
