Before the flowers head to the market each week, they must be cut!
So, Mom and Dad (sometimes me) cut flowers early early Friday morning!
Before we head to work we get up while it's still dark and start the process of cutting!
And, cutting...
We haul bucket after bucket to the air conditioned garage to cool and rest before assembling into bouquets.
It's a lot of hard work, but worth it in the end! After work on Fridays we start assembling bouquets!
The faces of our customers are priceless when they see the beautiful bouquets!
This past week I told Mom that I thought they were the most beautiful ever!
We have a new color of statice this year (yellow) and it's glorious!
Don't you just smile looking at the colors?
Happiness!
And, thank you for supporting the soap business too!
If you haven't yet tried the soap, you really should! It really is good stuff, if I do say so myself!
But, if you only come to say hello to Charlie then that's fabulous! He loves market days!
This week we'll be trying something new. Many of you dog lovers have enjoyed the free doggie bagels each week.
Well, this week we will be giving away bagels, but asking for a donation in exchange! We will give the proceeds to the SPCA of Petersburg & Colonial Heights!
