We were a Fool for Art! Were you?
Saturday was gorgeous! It was the perfect day for a festival! We participated in the Fool for Art event at John Tyler Community College in Midlothian.
It is a family fun event (fur-family included) with lots of great youth activities and vendors, dancing, and food! Music and happiness filled the campus as families wandered around laughing and looking at all there was to offer!
Charlie got his fair share of lovin' too! He really enjoyed the sunshine and kids!
He sat and watched all of the people and greeted the other dogs that stopped by!
Dynamo came and helped me set up and sell! My parents swung by to check out the event later on and brought us Charlie Boy! It was a great day to be outside enjoying the weather and the college!
We just love outdoor events (when it's nice weather of course)! We got to meet new friends and other vendors! We appreciate the support of our customers and the college! Thanks for a great event! We're looking forward to next year!

Find us in Willow and Sage!
I just honestly couldn't believe my eyes when I read the email from Christen Olivarez, Editor of Willow and Sage, telling me that our soaps would be included in the premier issue of their newest publication! WOW! What an honor! I read Stampington & Company's publications regularly and admire the gorgeous pages of handmade items. When I got the email asking for more samples of soaps for them to photograph as well as a list of questions it just didn't seem real!
Little did I know that they would give us 5 pages in the magazine! How kind of them to include us! And, such gorgeous photography of our soaps!!
The publication is a new venture for Stampington. Their line of over 30 mixed-media publications has every sector of the craft/art industry covered! It's a bit of an addiction for me as I love each and every one of their magazines, which are like books! They are so inspiring! This new publication is full of recipes and ideas to make and give!
It's such an honor to be included and hopefully others will be inspired to try their hand at handmade bath and body products.
Find a copy at your nearest bookstore, or purchase online here.
Many thanks to Christen and Stampington & Company for including The Daily Scrub!

Nice and Spicy!
The latest addition to the soap fragrance collection is Spice is Nice! And, it's super nice!
Loaded with good for you exfoliation, this bar is a great unisex fragrance!
I know the colors are a little more like fall, but I couldn't resist trying this great fragrance combo! You will first pick up the Mandarin Leaf, Agave Nectar and African Lotus! Then you’ll notice they’re perfectly paired with spices like cardamom, Nutmeg and Black Peppercorn. The dry base notes of Safari Sandalwood, Patchouli and Tonka Bean hold it all together for the perfect combination of “sugar and spice and everything nice”. Need I say more!?!?!
Filled with coffee grounds and walnut shells for exfoliation, along with Yellow Brazilian Clay and Activated Charcoal, this bar is amazing!
Find this bar and lots of other new fragrances this Saturday at John Tyler Community College's Fool for Art event! 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Midlothian campus!

The Meetup...
Hello Trooper!!!
We sure had missed hanging out with the other Bostons at the Meetup group! The BTs are so much fun!! They all have such great personalities! Here's Daisy!
There was discussion...
And consultation...(the girl with the blue collar is Blossom, Charlie's relative!)
Sometimes there's a little bullying...
Lots of running...
Ball chasing...
Some mooching...
But lots of loving...
Sometimes it seems like the Bostons would rather play with the humans than each other!
But then again, not really...
Some of them just love the camera...
There's a lot of holding from time to time because someone just needed it...
Or, because they just love their human...
Charlie had a blast! He was filthy! But...it was all worth it!

Mountain Bike Monday - Breakin' Out the SS
On Saturday afternoon we headed over to Poco for an evening ride on the trails! It was a beautiful night for a ride.
I decided to dust off the Spot Single Speed! Last week I read an article that inspired me to put away the gears and get back out there and work a little harder.
You've heard me say before that I'm convinced that gears make you lazy. Well, my opinion hasn't changed. There's something about the pure simplicity of riding old school without the benefit of gears. I'm not going to lie...even though I have only 9 gears in the back on my Mutt, it still is a lot easier to sit back and spin in the low gear up the hill than to grind up on the SS. There's nothing wrong with that; however, I've figured out how to be lazy AGAIN! I forgot how to tackle the hills, and how to use momentum to glide through the tough spots.
Also, there's something magical about that bike. It just fits me well! No other bike I have fits me like my original Spot. It's like an old shoe! It responds well to me and I seem to glide over obstacles with a lot more finesse and ease. Don't get me wrong...I am still like a bull in a china shop most of the time!
I rode better, harder, and my time was faster! So, I'm going to put away the gears for the next few rides and retrain myself on how to really ride the trails!
I'm so grateful for my Dynamo's patience. He's always there to help me through the tough spots on the trail. He's encouraging at just the right times!
He even slowed up enough for me to take some pics of him ridin' the rocks!

Easter Blessings
It was so nice to spend Easter together. We went to church with my parents and our friend, "Mole." She has been one of my mom's best friends since before I was born!
Look at these silly girls...
Easter time is one time to be extra thankful. Thankful for all that we have! The many blessings each day!
We ate lunch together and then played lots of frisbee! A dirty face is a sign of happiness...
We walked around and looked at the flowers...
Just soaking up the fresh air...
The butterfly sure was struggling to hold onto its grip in the wind!
Dad and Dynamo decided to try flying the plane (even though they knew it was too windy)!!!
Even Charlie had to get in on the action...
The flight was short and damaging...
So, we walked and visited some more...
And Charlie got more lovin'...
And frisbee...
Look at this tongue...
We got Charlie to hold still for a few pics...
But not for long...
Look at that dirty chin...
Spring is a time for all things new...
It's a beginning...
Everything is clean and green with life...
We are so blessed. Each and every day I am so thankful for all we have!
He is risen! He is risen indeed!
