Amanda Adams Photography's Special Order Soap

I was so excited when Amanda contacted me! It was an opportunity to create a specialty soap bar exclusively for her brand, Amanda Adams Photography!

When we first talked she was in the final stages of her logo development. She knew that she wanted to use lavender because it was very special to her. She also knew that she wanted the bar colors to match the logo colors. Once she sent me her logo, I was able to better refine the concept.

What a lovely logo! I feel a sense of direction and purpose when I look at it! Don't you?

Her colors were teal, coral, and gray which was a lovely combination I'd never tried before! We discussed the look and feel she was going for and decided on four colors, a swirl, lavender buds inside and on top, and the top to be shaped like a wave! The bar was to imply a nautical theme!



Ta da! I think we captured the essence of her brand! Half of the batch was lavender and the other half was lavender chamomile! Her son named the bars Seas of Lavender and Chamomile Breeze! I think her son should help me name all of my soaps!



It was such a pleasure to work with Amanda! I enjoy making special soaps for special people! I am honored that my soaps will be a part of Amanada's client package! Thank you, Amanda for working with me!

What can I say except that Lavender is one of the most popular fragrances!



It is so soothing and pretty too!



































I use local lavender buds grown by a fellow market vendor, a friend, and myself! Local is always better!



After I cut the bars, they cure for about 4 weeks. Here they are curing...



It's important to be sure the air flows around the bars. The harder the bar the longer lasting!

Lavender Oatmeal Goodness - A Special Order

I worked on a special order recently.



I had an order for 10 bars of lavender oatmeal plain.



Yes, no color! When I asked the customer why plain they responded, "for decor purposes."



How clever to want a neutral non-colored bar to go with a neutral theme!



So, I agreed to make a plain batch! Even without the colors and swirls, the bars still turned out to be pretty. What do you think? I love the natural, neutral look. I know my customer will be happy.

Lovely Lavender

Talk about super excited! The coloration of this bar turned out great!



When you think of lavender you think of purple, but I thought a little pop of green would really make this bar stand out from the crowd!



I really think this is my best looking batch of lavender yet!



Nothing gets better than plain old lavender. You just can't go wrong with this lovely fragrance!



A fellow vendor came up to me one week at the market after having bought the lavender bar (he loves it by the way) and told me he wanted to know what the "weeds" were that appeared all over him after using my soap!



Of course he was smiling and joking, but he was referring to the lavender buds in the bar itself! They provide exfoliation and add interest to the bar!



He likes to give Mom and I a hard time! After all he and his wife are one of my suppliers of lavender buds for my soaps!



The lavender is his favorite and he loves the "weeds."

A favorite - Lavender Chamomile

I've been busy like a bee working on making more and more soap!



This week will be mostly soapy posts! I want you to see the latest creations as soon as we cut them!



As you know each batch turns out differently! Lately, I've been experimenting with getting the bars to be more white versus cream colored!



I think they turned out nice!



Nothing beats lavender chamomile!



It is so soft and gentle and makes you relax when you smell the combination of fragrances!
