Mountain Bike Monday - Howling at the moon!
On Saturday evening we participated in the Anthem Moonlight Ride! We met up with our friend, Missy, to ride in the 17 mile ride around Richmond!
The first thing we did after we arrived was light up our bikes! The ride started just before dark, so we were trying to decorate as much as possible!
Dynamo had been to Party City the week before searching for glowsticks. Let's just say that 25 glowsticks don't go as far as you think! It took 10 for each bike with a couple left for necklaces!
Even though we didn't have lots of lights we were pretty lit up!
We headed over to the start to meet up with Missy! Dynamo helped her put on her light-up bracelets!
There were thousands of people, young and old, out for the fun ride!
And, soon we found our other friends Busher and Mindy!
We took a "groupie" shot!
Some people did dress up and enter the costume contest! Like this lady...
And, the Santa here...
I couldn't believe that he couldn't tell me how many days until Christmas!
I tried hard to get us all in the shot. Not much success! It was rainy, dark, and wet! The above was the best I could do!
On our way home our wheels were still lit up!
We had a great time! Our friends, Mariooochee and Elise, were even camped out on Monument Ave cheering us on!
I sure do love these fun rides! No pressure. Just a chance to be out celebrating biking and being with friends!
