Mountain Bike Wednesday - The Birds!

We finally got back out on the bikes this Sunday!



It had been a long time off, but it was time to get back in the swing of things!



The weather was great!And, we had some company!



Missy joined us for a little spin around the park. We ventured out onto the fireroads.



All of a sudden as we were climbing a hill we noticed a huge flock of black birds.



They were everywhere just like in that movie. The picture was hard to get. We were climbing a hill and in awe! There were thousands flying across the path and in the trees. It was amazing! We had no idea where they all came from nor what stirred them.



We swung around by the car and dropped Missy off, but continued on for a bit on Forest Exploration.



The worst part about this route is the really big climb in the beginning!



Here I come!





We wrapped up the ride with 10 or 11 miles. For the first day back it was ok.





We will step it up next week!

Final holiday recap!

It was a lovely trip! On one of our last days we went to St. Armands Circle to hit a couple of shops and then to Lido Beach!



There was a guy windsurfing and it was definitely a good day for it! We were fighting the wind to get our pic!



Then, we watched some kite surfers hit the waves! Check out the guy in the distance high above the waves!



It was awesome!!

And, our last night there we went to dinner at Dynamo's dad's favorite place, Toojay's!



I just love Dynamo's mom's face in this pic!



We had such a great visit! It had been a whole year since we were there! Too long!

I'll leave you with a couple of other pics. We discovered these shells that looked like hearts when opened!

I guess you can find symbols anywhere you look if you look hard enough!



Someone left this for us to find I believe!

Holiday Recap #3

On Christmas Eve the girls went out for a quick shopping trip!



When we returned we noticed that Tasha and Charlie seemed to switch places! Tasha thought that Charlie's little green former cat bed given to him as a baby was hers!



This was the scene when we turned the corner to our room!



Charlie gladly gave up his bed for her! When we asked them what was going on they looked at us like "What?"



Charlie acted like he owned the place huh? I guess since he gave up his bed he figured he could suffer on the big futon!

And, for dinner on Christmas Eve we all went out to dinner at Outback! Yum! Dynamo's brother joined us!



When Christmas morning came, we all got presents! Even Charlie!



It was a monkey!



He went right to town attacking it! Let's just say he had one arm halfway off and stuffing out by the time we left three days later! It stayed in Florida!



It just wouldn't be the same without a trip to the beach on Christmas morning!



We found lots of cool sand snowmen!



And, a walrus!



And, this one looks like a snowwoman!



And, her baby!



Shell hunting wasn't as good as before, but it was still lovely to be on the beach!



When we got back to the house we had a lovely dinner at home! Here are some family pics!











Charlie was finally worn out from all of the excitement!



He decided since Tasha took over his bed hers was fair game!



Before leaving we had to take Charlie to the beach!



We took the little man over to the causeway bridge where it was calm.



He wasn't afraid one minute!



He chased the leaves that blew into the water!



He had a good time, but couldn't stay long because it was chilly!





He's so adventurous!
