Pumpkin Spice is oh so nice!

Our pumpkin spice sea salt soap bars are made with our traditional recipe, but have pumpkin puree and pink himalayan sea salt. This bar is super exfoliating and full of antioxidant rich pumpkin. It's an all around great bar!

Fun times at Crafted Hampton Roads

We had a great time this past weekend at Crafted Hampton Roads in Norfolk at O'Connor Brewing! Lots of shoppers braved the misty rainy weather to shop with us.

Our bath bombs have been a customer favorite. We offer several different fragrances.

If you haven't tried our salt bars you really should! They are exfoliating and great for your skin.

Our sea sponges seen below are super fun! The extra soft sponges act like a built in poof! These sponges are harvested in the Gulf of Mexico and after cleaning are hand cut.

The new look of The Daily Scrub!!!

I'm so excited that we have a new look for our shows! Dynamo has been working so hard on designing a new display for us, and it is absolutely beautiful!!

The natural butcher block tops allow the beautiful colors to shine. The look is industrial in nature, with clean lines allowing the soap to be the centerpiece of the display.

With multiple tables it allows customers to spread out and shop both sides of the display. When they are ready to checkout they can come to the center table to do so.

I am so blessed to have such a talented husband with a vision and dedication to our business. I LOVE our new look, don't you?!?!

Mint Chocolate Chip is here!

The latest batch smells good enough to eat...literally!!



This mint chocolate chip is true to its name offering a delightfully chocolate fragrance with a hint of mint!

These bars were made as a favor for a recent bridal shower, and because they were such a hit we made more!!



We also added some coffee grounds for exfoliation! Yummy!

A little lavender chamomile...

This lavender chamomile is a lovely soap. It's so light and fresh with lots of yellow Brazilian clay for detoxification.



The lavender buds serve as exfoliants.

Cupcakes Anyone?

It's always an honor to be asked to make favors for special occasions. Most recently I was asked to make pink soap cupcakes for a friend's wedding. They will be her favors this coming weekend!



It's very special to be a part of someone's special time.



The soaps turned out lovely and they really do look like edible cupcakes.

Spearmint Eucalyptus Goodness

I just love the fresh clean scent of the spearmint eucalyptus soap.



The smell is just enough to pick you up!



Mint is such a delightful cleaning fragrance! And, the activated charcoal inside is an added bonus!

Arts in the Park this Weekend!!!

Lovely lavender goodness

From time to time we change things up a little, and the lavender is no exception.



We wanted to give it a little extra umph and power so we added Purple Brazilian Clay to the recipe.



Besides being a natural colorant, the clay is known to draw toxins out of your body leaving it better than before!



We encourage you to this new recipe that's better than before and let us know what you think!

Amanda Adams Photography's Specialty Soaps

We were very excited when Amanda of Amanda Adams Photography contacted us about doing a new line of specialty soaps for her brand. It's always such a compliment when customers return for more soaps! And, we were honored to be asked.

Amanda and I corresponded about her style and slightly redesigned brand/logo with the focus being on her gold colors. I just love the anchor!

I always take time to visit client's websites, blogs, and facebook pages to get a feel for their personality and business style before making suggestions. And, after doing so I felt that our soft oatmeal, milk, & honey soap with natural gold colored soap curls, oats, and yellow Brazilian clay was a great compliment to her brand and client packaging. Of course, we added some gold mica dust to the top of the bar too! Because shiny things are always extra pretty!

The Gingerbread Man...

We usually only have one beer soap on hand at a time, and for the Christmas season it was most appropriate to choose the ever-so-popular Hardywood Park Craft Brewery's Gingerbread Stout.



Dynamo actually came up with the idea for this batch, which incorporates these adorable gingerbread men into each bar! He's quite clever don't you think?



When Dynamo went to pick up the beer, the guy in the store said that making soap with this awesome beer wasn't so strange after all. Apparently people have been making cakes with it too!! I know to many of you die hard beer drinkers it's quite the sin to use perfectly wonderfully delicious beer for soap, but I promise you, it's awesome!



We used all beer instead of water in our traditional recipe that you all know and love; added some coffee grounds for exfoliation, and worked our magic to make it smell like hazelnuts and toffee. It really is yummy! Good enough to eat!



Did I mention this soap is non-alcoholic too?!?!?


Also...many people pick up our beer soaps and expect them to smell like beer. Guess what? They don't. Each one has a very unique smell and we try to make them appeal to everyone.

Christmas Wreath Soap

I'm not very innovative with my soap naming so this soap is Christmas Wreath. I think that is ok, though, because the names are pretty self-explanatory, which makes for easy shopping, especially online.



This soap smells just like a fresh wreath you would hang on your door for the holiday! Yes, those lovely greens that brighten up the whole house and bring in crispness and freshness.

I know that I love those holiday greenery scented candles, so I thought a soap would be just as delightful.

And, it will make your bathroom smells so nice and seasonal!



Don't fear the glitter! It's really just on the tops of the bars! But, hey, doesn't everyone need a little sparkle once in a while!?!?



Get ready for more holiday soap scents! It's that time of year!!

Virginia Countryside Photography

When our friends at Virginia Countryside Photography contacted us about making a custom soap for their client packages we were beyond thrilled!

When we get a request we usually have a few questions to ask. We want to get the feel of your website and social media. We want to see your style and will usually ask what colors and fragrances you like. We ask if you want curls and sticks. We ask if you want glitter. We ask if you want plain or swirled.



As artists it's nice to have some creative freedom to interpret the customer's style. Melissa put all of her trust in us to create the right bar for her! We talked about her favorite colors and scents. I spent some time getting the feel for her work. She told me that she liked the glitter and the colors of our tropical breeze soap.



I noticed that Melissa posted a lot of sunrise pictures to her pages. And, Virginia is known for its beaches and mountains. It was perfectly fitting to create "Sweet Virginia Breeze" soap just for Melissa! The white, blue, teal, and coral go perfectly with her style and the scent is that of a crisp and clean babbling brook.

It was a pleasure working with Melissa and we hope her customers will enjoy their mini soaps as part of their client packages!
