Stop by the Petersburg Farmers Market this Saturday!
Happy May to you all!
It's that time of year! This Saturday is opening day for the Petersburg Farmers Market! Beginning at 7:30 a.m. you can find all of your favorite vendors and goodies under the MLK Bridge next to the Train Station!
Charlie and I will be there with our handmade soaps! Lots of great new scents to check out! We do hope you'll swing by. We'll be there until noon!
Please note that we don't plan to be there every week until it's officially flower time, so this Saturday will be our only market day in May!
And...guess what...The Daily Scrub now has a Facebook page! I'd really appreciate you swinging by and liking it! You can keep up-to-date on the latest events and creations!
Hope to see you this Saturday, May 4!

Market update and a mohawk pup!
Before the flowers make it into bouquets, we must pick them and get them inside the cool garage!

Once they are cooled, then we get to work making bouquets for you!

Last week was another wonderful day at the market for us!

The flowers were so beautiful! And, the soap was a hit too!

Even though we had bad storms on Friday night luckily that didn't stop the customers!

Look at all the beautiful colors!!

So lovely!!

Flowers just make me smile! But, nothing makes me smile more than Charlie Boy!!

Again, this week he was the star of the show! Everyone comes to see Charlie!

Charlie gets more love than he could ever want on Saturday mornings!!

Any stray flower becomes a snack for the little man!

Most visitors to the market are now looking for little Charlie! What a ham!

He works up such a thirst with all that lovin'.

And, then it's naptime under the table again...

We love to see our friends each week! Some customers have been coming to see us for many years!

Here are three generations all together at the market!

We love our customers!

We have such fun!

And, Charlie can't wait to see his dad, who stops by to visit around cleanup time usually after a ride on his bike!

And, last week there was a cool pup with a mohawk!

Wild, I know!

Life is good!!

See you Saturday!

The veggies are coming in big time now!!

To Market, to market...
It's hard to picture what a flower farm looks like, so I thought I'd share some pictures of my mom's "patches" of flowers.

Grown on around an acre (split up and around the house and trees) are our flowers!

The glads are happy and blooming like crazy, but as you can see the zinnias and celosia are trying to catch up!

Mom does an excellent job of utilizing every possible spot for planting...

No tree base is left bare...

It's really a glorious site to be there! There is such beauty all around their home and their little patches.

The little smokehouse is no longer serving its original purpose, but it's such an adorable part of the property!

The limelight hydrangeas are getting some blooms! Soon they will be ready for customers!

Such happiness all around!

Once cut they are bunched and head to the Market on Saturday morning!

Just glorious!

It's such a joy to see the customers smiling as they walk up to the table!

And, the soaps have been a great addition to our table!

I just love that beautiful display stand that Dynamo made me!

But, the best part is that Charlie Boy joins us weekly at the market!

He loves coming and meeting the customers! And...their furry companions!

He took time last week to bake in the sun! Dynamo stopped by to see us after his ride and Charlie was so excited to see his dad!

We always meet new people!

Looking forward to another lovely weekend at the Market! Stop by if you're around! Bright and early at 7 a.m.!
