More lavender...

What can I say except that Lavender is one of the most popular fragrances!



It is so soothing and pretty too!



































I use local lavender buds grown by a fellow market vendor, a friend, and myself! Local is always better!



After I cut the bars, they cure for about 4 weeks. Here they are curing...



It's important to be sure the air flows around the bars. The harder the bar the longer lasting!

Lovely Lavender

Talk about super excited! The coloration of this bar turned out great!



When you think of lavender you think of purple, but I thought a little pop of green would really make this bar stand out from the crowd!



I really think this is my best looking batch of lavender yet!



Nothing gets better than plain old lavender. You just can't go wrong with this lovely fragrance!



A fellow vendor came up to me one week at the market after having bought the lavender bar (he loves it by the way) and told me he wanted to know what the "weeds" were that appeared all over him after using my soap!



Of course he was smiling and joking, but he was referring to the lavender buds in the bar itself! They provide exfoliation and add interest to the bar!



He likes to give Mom and I a hard time! After all he and his wife are one of my suppliers of lavender buds for my soaps!



The lavender is his favorite and he loves the "weeds."

A favorite - Lavender Chamomile

I've been busy like a bee working on making more and more soap!



This week will be mostly soapy posts! I want you to see the latest creations as soon as we cut them!



As you know each batch turns out differently! Lately, I've been experimenting with getting the bars to be more white versus cream colored!



I think they turned out nice!



Nothing beats lavender chamomile!



It is so soft and gentle and makes you relax when you smell the combination of fragrances!

Rosemary Lavender Soap

I decided to test out a new fragrance, Rosemary Lavender!



I think it turned out to be a lovely soap! The rosemary smell toned down a bit to a nice combination of the two essential oils!



Rosemary Essential Oil is great for aching muscles, arthritis, dandruff, dull skin, exhaustion, gout, hair care, muscle cramping, neuralgia, poor circulation, rheumatism. But...you should avoid it if you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, or have hypertension. Check out this site for more details.

I think the bar of soap and the cupcake go perfectly together don't you? What a cute gift pack!

Lavender Oatmeal Guest Bars

I am so excited about our latest creation! These are mini bars...guest bars! Dynamo helped me to create a guest bar mold since smaller bars had been requested by a retailer. Ta da! He did great as always!



The same as its larger companion in composition, but miniature!



Can you see the size difference in this pic above? They are perfect for guests and for traveling!



These bars range between a little over 1 ounce to a little under 2 ounces, whereas their counterparts range from 4.25 to 5 ounces. Remember, this is not exact science here...we call it handcrafted! All of our bars are cut by hand and because of the "toppings" the sizes can vary. That's what makes them unique!
