More lavender...

What can I say except that Lavender is one of the most popular fragrances!



It is so soothing and pretty too!



































I use local lavender buds grown by a fellow market vendor, a friend, and myself! Local is always better!



After I cut the bars, they cure for about 4 weeks. Here they are curing...



It's important to be sure the air flows around the bars. The harder the bar the longer lasting!

Lavender Oatmeal Goodness - A Special Order

I worked on a special order recently.



I had an order for 10 bars of lavender oatmeal plain.



Yes, no color! When I asked the customer why plain they responded, "for decor purposes."



How clever to want a neutral non-colored bar to go with a neutral theme!



So, I agreed to make a plain batch! Even without the colors and swirls, the bars still turned out to be pretty. What do you think? I love the natural, neutral look. I know my customer will be happy.

Fun Times at Fool For Art!

What a great time we had at Fool For Art on Saturday!



Dynamo helped me get the tent set up on Friday and then Mom came to help me set up early on Saturday!



I was so glad to have help because it took lots of effort to set up that display! Didn't the black tables that Dynamo built me look great?!?! They were fantastic!

Thank goodness my family was there! Whew! I was worn out by the end of the show on Saturday!



The beer soaps were a hit!



As were the cupcakes!



We had lots of shoppers and visitors. The day was packed with people, music, and fun!



I was so honored when the kids would come up to ask questions and then would decide to spend their money on a bar of my soap. You know kids can choose to spend their money on lots of things, so for them to choose my soap was an honor!



































The fellow vendors nearby were so friendly and helpful! Fool for Art is a nice atmosphere for families to come and enjoy themselves. Lots of food, activities for the kids, and free stuff too!



I offered soaps wrapped and unwrapped. Everyone chose unwrapped!



We had a great time and I'm looking forward to returning next year to the event!

Cherry Almond Soap

This was an entirely new scent for me. I have always loved the smell of Jergen's and this is pretty close to that! When I was a kid, my Nannie always used Jergen's. Her hall linen closet always smelled of it! I would go open the door just to get a whiff! This is a good scent. A little strong, but it does smell really good!



I decided to experiment with a new swirl and no "toppings." It's a plain bar with a little jazz!



What do you think? I'm still a fan of my signature "toppings" but this is still a lovely bar! It looks very neutral and natural!



































Very soft and creamy!



I'm looking forward to having my customers try out all of the new scents! Fun fun!!

Smell those blueberries....

Can you say, "Yum!"



































I just cut up the Blueberry Lemon Verbena and it's so delicious! So yummy!



































Even for those of you that don't like to wash with "food fragrances" you will love this...I LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE!!! It's just enough of both blueberry and lemon to be great and not overpowering!



If you haven't tried this yet, I really urge you to consider it! It really is a popular fragrance among my customers!



I'll have all of my new stuff as well as the regulars at both events coming up in April! And, soon the Petersburg Farmers' Market will start (May)! So, it's almost time!

Lovely lavender oatmeal

My biggest seller without a doubt is this lovely lavender oatmeal!



It is absolutely the best bar I make. Yes, they all are wonderful, but this bar is my favorite.



































The scent is lovely. The oats are super moisturizing. And, it's just plain great!



If you haven't tried it, you should! Especially if you have dry skin!
