Riverrock Fun

On Saturday we headed down to the Riverrock Festival in downtown Richmond on Brown's Island. We went to watch our friend Marioochee run the 10k trail run, watch some fun outdoor events, and visit with our friends!



It was a glorious weekend to be outside!

We got lots of love from little Boy B!!

I could just eat these cheeks up!



Dynamo is a natural!

And, Charlie got to give him some lovin' too after he asked permission of course!



B liked Charlie's smoochies (Mom I know you're having a fit over this!)!!

We stopped for a bit to feed little B...



There was so much going on from the air dog competition to paddleboarding to kayaking to bouldering! WOW! So much fun!



The river was raging...



Charlie made lots of new friends including this great big 6 month old girl! She wanted to play! So, they played as a crowd formed around in amazement that the big dog and small dog were getting along!





Charlie even got love from lots of random strangers!



He never turns down lovin' especially from his kinfolks!



It was a great day to walk around and enjoy the activities and all Richmond has to offer! And, it was especially nice to be able to bring Charlie!

Racing the FORD

We arrived Saturday morning in Fredericksburg for the FORD - Fredericksburg Off-Road Duathlon! Dynamo has competed in this run, bike, run race a few times! It's a great event with competitors of all skill levels! Dynamo raced the advanced course!



Dynamo got setup in the transition area and then they were off! See him in his orange shirt!!





We all wait near the transition area for each and every return! Charlie gets lots of love from other dogs and kids while we wait! Then, we see our Dynamo coming in the distance!



He's coming in to grab his bike and head out for the approximately 10 mile bike portion...



And, he's off on the bike...





We wait a little while and then he's back from the bike!







Now, it's one last run before the finish. And, here they come...







I was so proud of Dynamo! I always am. He works so hard and is so dedicated! He ended up placing 4th in his age group!!! It's so inspiring to everyone out there working so hard! I love being a part of these events, even if it's just to cheer!!

Dynamo's 5k Trail Run

This past weekend was filled with outdoor festivities!



We arrived on Saturday morning at Pocahontas State Park for the Xterra 5K trail run!



Racers huddled around the start! Dynamo was participating in the 5k run, but there was also a 15k!



Charlie and I cheered Dynamo on at the start!



The race took place over on the fire roads on the Forest Exploration Trail, which is across the boat ramp!



While we waited I made Charlie pose! And, as usual he wasn't interested!



And before long here comes Dynamo to the finish!

4th overall and 1st in his age group!





After a little rest Charlie was ready to play with his dad!

Muddy Buddy Pics are finally here!

First, I'd like to thank Lisa for taking such great pictures of the Muddy Buddy. She and her husband, Mike, and their two daughters (our adopted nieces) were there for the 7 a.m. start and waited for us to cross the finish line! What good friends we have to patiently wait all that time!


As you can see my Dynamo was being such a gentleman by holding up the flag as I drag myself under the flag and through the pit. Not the best angle, but our photographer was free so I won't complain.In the above picture my niece, Madison, is giving me a great big hug after the grueling race! She hadn't competed in the Mini Muddy Buddy yet, so I just had to go ahead and get her dirty!

What a fun day! It was a lot of work, but totally worth it! So, here's the last photo that I'll share of Dynamo and I right after the race! Dynamo looks great, but I'm such a wreck!
