"The Park" Trip 2

On Sunday we went back to The Park again and I was the leader of the pack!



I was a pro at this park thing now and was ready to lead Mom and Dad around Beaver Lake! Mom and Dad had not ever walked around Beaver Lake Trail because they always mountain bike, so this trail was off limits to bikers.

There were more pictures and posing!



I guess I should know after a year that Mom is always taking my picture!



The Beaver Lake Trail was awesome!



Lots of bridges with water! My favorite!



"Come on, Mom. Let's go!"



There were lots of people out at The Park.



Lots to see and explore!

Everytime I saw water I wanted to find a way to get to it!



I met some nice friends...



There was no time for chitchat...more exploring left to do!



I was so fascinated by the rushing water! Dad let me get my paws a little damp! It was really cold, but that didn't matter to me!



Then, there was more posing!

The Beaver Lake Trail had a pretty overlook!

The trail around the lake was gorgeous!



I had so much fun checking everything out! I mean everything!



And, posed a lot!



I found a stick in the parking lot on the way back! Too bad I couldn't get off this leash!



I had so much fun that I fell fast asleep in the car on the way home! It was a busy two days at The Park for me. I can't wait to go back!

Charlie's First Trip to the Park

My Mom and Dad have been talking about this place called "The Park."



And, on Saturday I finally got to go! Yippee!



While Dad was doing his training ride, Mom took me around on some of the hiking trails!



The minute the car pulled into the parking lot, I was ready to go explore!



Mom kept making me stop to pose for pictures.



It was a little over the top! All I wanted to do was explore and she kept calling my name to pose!



Really?



We walked for a couple of hours. Mom got tired, but I was still ready to go!





There was so much to see and I didn't want to miss a thing!



I kept eying up the water trying to figure out how I could get in.



Mom was on to me, though! No tricking her!



She promised me that this spring when it was warm we would come back and I could go swimming!



I was ok with that!

Lovely Lavender

Talk about super excited! The coloration of this bar turned out great!



When you think of lavender you think of purple, but I thought a little pop of green would really make this bar stand out from the crowd!



I really think this is my best looking batch of lavender yet!



Nothing gets better than plain old lavender. You just can't go wrong with this lovely fragrance!



A fellow vendor came up to me one week at the market after having bought the lavender bar (he loves it by the way) and told me he wanted to know what the "weeds" were that appeared all over him after using my soap!



Of course he was smiling and joking, but he was referring to the lavender buds in the bar itself! They provide exfoliation and add interest to the bar!



He likes to give Mom and I a hard time! After all he and his wife are one of my suppliers of lavender buds for my soaps!



The lavender is his favorite and he loves the "weeds."

Rose Clay and Apricot Freesia Soap

The next small batch I made just the other day was Apricot Freesia. I love this fragrance. It's light with just enough sweetness!



For this batch I wanted to use another natural colorant...rose clay!



Rose Clay has great properties along with being a natural colorant. Here's a description from my soap supply company, Brambleberry:

Rose clay is considered a mild Kaolin Clay that is commonly used to clean and purify the skin. It has mild exfoliating powers and like all clays, helps to detoxify the skin by drawing impurities from pores. Colored a light pink, this clay is also a fantastic all-natural colorant for soap applications.



I am so pleased with how this bar turned out. The colors are soothing and creamy!



So, if you're looking for a little natural detox, this bar is for you!

A favorite - Lavender Chamomile

I've been busy like a bee working on making more and more soap!



This week will be mostly soapy posts! I want you to see the latest creations as soon as we cut them!



As you know each batch turns out differently! Lately, I've been experimenting with getting the bars to be more white versus cream colored!



I think they turned out nice!



Nothing beats lavender chamomile!



It is so soft and gentle and makes you relax when you smell the combination of fragrances!

Hazelnut Toffee Soap

I just love this new soap! It turned out so pretty and creamy looking!



I added some Yellow Brazilian Clay, which is a natural colorant! And, what a pretty bar it turned out to be!



The soap sticks and curls, along with the fine glitter really make it look like a coffee drink don't they?



This bar smells good, not too overwhelming, which was my fear! I don't like strong coffee smells!

Beach Life AMI

This is a great shop over on Anna Maria Island, Florida! The owner has a true eye for merchandising! While visiting Dynamo's parents over the holiday we stopped in. The owner was so kind and friendly chatting with us about the shop and her items. I left her my contact information and just got a call recently that she's going to carry some of my soaps! Yippee!!!
