Riverrock Fun

On Saturday we headed down to the Riverrock Festival in downtown Richmond on Brown's Island. We went to watch our friend Marioochee run the 10k trail run, watch some fun outdoor events, and visit with our friends!



It was a glorious weekend to be outside!

We got lots of love from little Boy B!!

I could just eat these cheeks up!

And, Charlie got to give him some lovin' too after he asked permission of course!

We stopped for a bit to feed little B...



There was so much going on from the air dog competition to paddleboarding to kayaking to bouldering! WOW! So much fun!



The river was raging...



Charlie made lots of new friends including this great big 6 month old girl! She wanted to play! So, they played as a crowd formed around in amazement that the big dog and small dog were getting along!





Charlie even got love from lots of random strangers!



He never turns down lovin' especially from his kinfolks!



It was a great day to walk around and enjoy the activities and all Richmond has to offer! And, it was especially nice to be able to bring Charlie!

Mountain Bike Monday - Critters Everywhere!

We hit the trails yesterday with MBM, but before that we had a picnic lunch at the park with his girls, our little adopted nieces as we call them!



It's nice to have our Trio back. Life gets so busy that it can be hard to coordinate schedules.



I broke out the Spot Single Speed again for the ride and was excited to give it another spin on the trails. And, he didn't disappoint!



It was a great ride that really worked every muscle in my body! I rode just as fast and maybe faster than on the Mutt!



What an adventurous ride! MBM had said that he was sort on snake sightings this year! Well, not any longer! We were riding along and I happened to look down and saw this big black snake just crawling next to me on the trail. I hollered "Snake on the left!!!" Eek!!!!



And, then we saw a baby possum running down the trail dazed and confused! He was no bigger than my hand!



He looked so friendly and cute until we got up close to snap the pic. Then, he showed his teeth! That's definitely a first for us...seeing a possum!



Then, we decided to venture onto the red trail since it had been a long while. MBM had never experienced the red, so it was a good time to explore! Right away we saw this guy curled up sunning...



He had crazy blue and white hazy eyes! Creepy!!! I was about to turn around. 2 snakes and a possum was enough. They told me we could switch trail leaders and to hang in there! So, I did. Luckily the only other thing we saw was a mole running on the red trail!

Squeaky Clean

This soap is truly a clean scented soap!

It's a powdery clean smell. Fresh and new!

I only make this soap once in a while! And, it really is a favorite!

The Bubble Boy

So, mom and dad showed me something new the other day!



Bubbles!!!



And, I was AMAZED....



You know how much I love to chase things! I chase snow flakes, butterflies, frogs, bees, etc. Well, this was sooooo cool!! Check out my skills!

Mountain Bike Monday - Road spinning

Last Sunday and this one we got in some time on the road at the Battlefield in Petersburg!



The Battlefield is a good training ride! There are a few big hills to tackle on the out and back 7 mile course. As always there were lots of joggers, site see-ers and bikers!



Last week we did three loops - about 23 miles. Yesterday we did four for 30.5 miles. Even though it was a little warm yesterday, it was still a lovely ride. There are quite a few shady spots to give you a break from the sun!



It's like all of a sudden everything is green and lush! Snakes are out and about too! Last week there was a black one on the road during our ride! Eek!! We also had two in our yard this past week!



We really enjoy our rides together! The fresh air (minus the allergies) is so nice! I'm so grateful for the longer daylight hours to be outside more! Hope your weekend was lovely!

Mint Chocolate Chip Yumminess

I'm so excited about the most recent creation!



Mint Chocolate Chip!!! It smells just like the ice cream!!!



I added some coffee grounds for exfoliation. You know every batch has some exfoliator!!



And, we glitterized the top!!

It will be ready soon! I can't wait!!

That barn...

We needed some farm pics for work the other day, so I volunteered to snap a few.

I have always loved this barn/shed...



It's just something about it's simplicity and the weathered red tin roof...



And, then the cows decided to pose for me...



They started to get more comfortable with me the longer I stood there! I may have "moo-ed" a little at them too! Yes, like talking in their "language" somehow comforts them!



The morning sun was just perfect and it really is lovely on the backroads...
