All sliced up...

I was so excited to finally slice the coffee cake soap! Dynamo was kind enough to help me cut it. That way I'm sure to get 15 slices!

Cutting the soap is always to most exciting part. That's where the beauty is revealed!

I like the contrasting shades of brown along with the added black layer. That's the activated charcoal layer!

Most of the time I'm pleased with my swirling and layering! Especially this soap cake!

Talk about beautiful! Looks good enough to eat huh? I can't wait to deliver this to the Urban Farmhouse! You'll have to stop by and grab a slice!

Cock a doodle doo!!

I'm super excited about a recent order! The Urban Farmhouse Market and Cafe in Richmond asked me to make a coffee soap cake for their shop using their coffee blend!

Talk about excited and honored!!! WOW! They want to "serve" my soap cake by the slice to their customers! What a great conversation piece! So, as soon as we got back from vacation I got to work on the cake! It's complete, but needs to be cut! I just wanted to give you a sneak peak before cutting!



I'll post pics once we slice it, but until then close your eyes and pretend you can smell it! It really is a lovely fragrance that's not over the top coffee smelling!

In the process of making this cake, it gave me an idea to make some coffee soap for The Daily Scrub customers!



As an experiment I made a few bars with coffee grounds! The grounds are excellent exfoliators!

I added activated charcoal to the bars and the cake as the middle layer. Remember, activated charcoal is known for removing impurities in the skin.

This bar is so creamy and yummy! I can't wait for it to be ready!

Even if you're not a coffee lover, I can guarantee you'll love this bar!

So, stay tuned. We'll be cutting the cake soon and I can't wait to see the lovely pattern inside!

Soap cake...Complete!

Ta da! Here it is! All shrinkwrapped and ready to go!



I received an order for a lavender chamomile soap cake a couple of weeks back! I think it turned out great!



And, it smells so good too! I packaged it in a cake box...





And wrapped it in a bow!



Just like if you had ordered an edible cake! Yum!



As a special surprise for the birthday girl, I included a lavender oatmeal soap cupcake!



In its own little special box...



So, here's the order all complete!



Each cake comes with 15 individual bags for party goers to place their 'slice' in to take home!

Blueberry Lemon Soap Cake

Dynamo and I have been thinking up new ideas for the soap business and we just recently created this lovely soap cake!



We thought that customers might want something decorative for a bridal shower or baby shower! The cake could serve as not only decoration, but as favors for guests! When guests leave they get to take a slice of "cake" with them.



Here are some slices (thanks to Dynamo's mathematical skills we were able to cut the slices pretty evenly to about a normal sized bar!)...
